OUR VISION
We envision turning Houston into a restorative city by:

-
Partnering with those who are most impacted by state violence - including, but not limited to, youth, justice-impacted individuals, people living in poverty, the unhoused, the LGBTQ+ community, undocumented immigrants, and Black, Indigenous, and people of color - to mobilize and get specific skills based training in the philosophy of restorative justice and the practice of Circle keeping.

-
Training community members in Circle keeping to build community, strengthen social ties, repair harm, and promote political and civic engagement.

-
Educating the community about the promise of restorative, community based solutions to harm.

-
Piloting, evaluating, and researching restorative alternatives, documenting the success and challenges of community-based solutions, and disseminating the information in order to share knowledge and expand the scope of our work.

-
Advocating for justice by keeping people in power in the criminal justice, education, and social welfare systems accountable for implementing community-led solutions.
